I found this list….

Today and it made me think that I need to do this for this year….

This is my Top Ten Album of ‘08…

Thought it was interesting. Here is what I was listening to a year ago…

Top 10 Albums that I Rocked Hardest To:

10. Hit the Lights: Skip School, Start Fights- I must admit that it did take me a while to get into this cd, but I ‘m sorry it did. With a slight sophomore slump (I SAID SLIGHT!) these guys actually did impress me. While I was expecting something more like there first album, I was shocked once I got pass the usual, and realized that hey,…. This is pretty good.

9.The Secret Handshake- After buying this album off of a whim, I must admit that I was amazed at this one-man-band. AND after seeing him at Warped Tour,….AMAZING! This cd is the one thing that got me as into techno as I am,…. At least listen to Summer of ‘89 before you bail on this cd.

8.Ludo: You’re Awful, I Love You- If you knew me at all through out high school, you’ll know how absolutely shocking this is. Ludo? At 8? As much as it hurts me to do it, it’s true. I honestly wasn’t impressed with their last CD. Why you ask? I’m use to Ludo’s high energy, over the top, funny lyrics. This last cd was way to mellow in my mind. At first, I must admit that I hated this album. I put it away for about two months, and then pulled it out again after my sworn Ludo hating boyfriend was listening to it. It slowly grew on me. And I have now accepted it as a Ludo album. Though I’m anxcious for their next. I don’t know much further I can go….

7. A Day to Remember: For Those Who Have Heart- Normally I’m not a huge fan of this type of music. But for some reason, I kept coming back to this album, time after time.  I absolutely love this CD front to back, and found myself singing it in the shower.

6. Foxy Shazam: Introducing Foxy Shazam- When I first heard this cd I liked it, and then when I actually got the chance to sit down and listen to it, LOVE AT FIRST SONG! While this album isn’t for the faint of heart (not gonna lie they definately have an ‘interesting’ sound) Idefinately recommend that you give it a listen. Or go to a show, they definately put on an out of this world show.

5.Los Campesinos!: Sticking Fingers Into Sockets- Yes, yes, yes. I know. And Paydon will even remind me, why did I put this up when they put out TWO new albums this year (Yes, TWO!)? Honestly? I’m still stuck on it. And it brings back some KILLER memories…..

4.We The Kings- Again, disappointed when I first listened to it, but I found myself listening to this album again and again and again,….. and again. Check Yes Juliet KICKS ASS! Please. Go listen to it now, and find yourself tapping your foot and shaking your head.

3. Karate High School: Arcade Rock- Yes I know, first album. But I do (Sorry Paul) prefer this album over there newer one. NOT TO SAY THAT THEIR NEW ONE IS ALSO AMAZING but I still prefer the old one,…. Most of the time I listen to a band up until they’re concert, and then let it simmer for a while, but I was rockin’ to it constantly, for almost three months now I believe. Granted I may be a little biased due to my short appearance on stage, and Paul flattery,…. but that just makes it all better!

2. Four Year Strong: Rise or Die Trying- Between the dual vocals, and the super guitar parts this one hard for me not to have playing in my car. Shows? One of the most high energy concerts I have ever been too. First time I didn’t like them. I don’t know if it was an off night or what, but thank God that Paydon bought the CD because these guys are definately a force to be reckonned with!

And Number One…… DRUMROLL PLEASE!!!!!

1. Forever the Sickest Kids: Underdog Alma Mater- I LIVE for this album! When my computer crashed over the past couple of months, this is the one CD that was in my car, in my personal CD player and the one that I recommened to all of my friends. Besdes from all the members being goregous, they make some amazing music. I think I’ve been listening to this cd for about 6 months STRAIGHT!  I think anyone who gets into my car has to be absolutely tired of it, but I can still rock out to the unbelievable amazingness that is FTSK.
